José Enrique Gutiérrez

José Enrique Gutiérrez Cataluña (born June 18, 1974 in Valencia) is a Spanish professional road racing cyclist. He rides on the UCI ProTour for the Phonak Hearing Systems professional cycling team. His career highlights include winning a stage of the Vuelta a España and two stages at the Dauphiné Libéré.

As of June 2, 2006, José Enrique Gutierrez Cataluna has been made 'non-active' by his team, along with teammate Santiago Botero, because he was linked to Eufemiano Fuentes, a physician who is suspected of supplying doping to various cyclists. However, his teammanager John Lelangue said that he was not officially suspended or fired. (see: Operación Puerto)
