José Aílton da Silva, best known as Aílton (born in Cajueiro, September 8, 1977) is a Brazilian footballer in forward left midfielder and striker roles.

Started career in youth teams of Bragantino, Jundiaí and Palmeiras, and in 1999 start played in Mexico with Atlas, Leon, Pumas and Club San Luis. He played also in Venezuela with Italchacao team, and in Italy during season 2001-02 with A.S. Bari in Serie B.
