Although its a nice painting, I guess the problem is that it just looks like a black smudge when thumbnailed for the article. What you might want to try is separate cropped thumbnail version concentrating on the bottom right hand corner - linking through to this full version for the painting proper. -- Solipsist 21:18, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
dab, you're right. Looking side-by-side, the brightened version doesn't look too good. Do you think this jpg is fixable by someone more skilled? By the way, I seem to have had a problem with server-side caching of the image--when I uploaded, I could only see the old version (both full size and thumbnail) even after I cleared my cache.
