[edit] Statement by {we can list all of our names here}
This is the sample in the guide to posting a request for mediation:
User:JzG has repeatedly deleted my biographies of chess personalities. Today, for example, he deleted my biography of Julio César Ingolotti who is the Chess Champion of Paraguay and a candidate for Vice-President of FIDE, the World Chess Federation.
User:JzG has admitted in the past that he knows nothing about chess. He just keeps doing this because of his nasty and vindictive nature.
I am a member of the Board of Directors of the United States Chess Federation, so I certainly know something about the field of chess.
I request that the administrator privileges of User:JzG be revoked so that he cannot do this any more.
Based on the above, we should come up with a summary of what we want to say. It is recommended that this be less than 500 words:
Abu badali has shown outright contempt for Wikipedia process by not only refusing to respond to the RfC filed regarding his disruptive and heavy-handed behavior, but also by mocking the RfC and the participants openly on his own user page. Abu badali has no respect for his fellow editors or for their concerns regarding his disruptive and borderline-wikistalking methods in applying RFU tags. The question here is NOT whether Abu badali is "enforcing an unpopular policy" but how he goes about enforcing it, namely his disruptive behavior in 1) digging through a single editor's entire upload log and mass-tagging images they've uploaded, making them feel as if they're being "targeted" (a behavior that Oden (talk • contribs) was blocked for), 2) his refusal to CIVILLY engage with the editors who express concern with his image tagging processes, communicate with them and help them fully understand what is going on, and 3) his flippant and arrogant attitude towards the entire issue. It will, no doubt, be presented by Abu badali and others that he is simply "providing a much-needed service" or "doing the dirty work that nobody else wants to do", or, again, "doing good work and enforcing an unpopular policy". The topic can't be brought back to this, but must deal entirely with HOW this policy is enforced and how it can best BE enforced without causing mass disruption in Wikipedia. The ends do not justify the means and there is always a right way and a wrong way to go about something. Disruption is never acceptable and the large consensus of people at the RfC should indicate that disruption has, indeed, been a major issue. Those who are enforcing the policy should not feel they have a free hand and can engage in any behavior they like simply because the end result is fewer improper fair-use images on Wikipedia. - idea 2 for our "charges"
I would like to emphasize that the issue goes beyond his being rude and arrogant. He is damaging and vandalizing wikipedia by gleefully mass-deleting legitimate images, and follows his critics around to do it. TechnoFaye 03:21, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- idea 3 for our "charges"
My first contact with Abu badali was when more than fifty of my images were tagged as replaceable fair use - the first time this had happened to me. Although I was upset at the time, when another user fully explained the situatin to me I agreed that the majority of images could not be used under the fair use guidelines and backed off. However there were a few that Quadell, an admin, thought would be acceptable under the fair use guidelines and for which he provided detailed explanations. These did were not accepted by Abu badali, who continued to argue for their deletion. A long debate ensued in which Abu badali seemed to persistently ignore the opinions of fellow wikipedians in order to push his point of view. I feel that Abu badali's one-sided devotion to removing fair use images from Wikipedia lacks any real desire to enhance and improve the project. Images appear to be blanket-tagged rather than there being any evidence of Abu badali measuring up the merits of each image and processing each in turn on this basis rather than simply tagging images willy-nilly. There has also been an aspect of wiki-stalking in this behaviour: well after the initial issues I had with him, I added an image to Melissa Lingafelt, accompanied by text expansion to add context to the use of the image, which I referenced. I was sloppy in my work and forgot to add in a pipe, which led to the url linking to a 404 error. The url at this point was: http://www.missteenusa.com/press/08.15.06.htmlpublisher=Miss. I would have expected an editor coming across this to look at the url and notice the error in it (i.e. the missed pipe lead to some of the cite template ending up as part of the url)... but instead Abu badali went to the bother of commenting out the entire section and citation. This was a true illustration to me of his flagrant disregard for improving Wikipedia in favour of an automaton-like desire to rid the project from fair use images. -- PageantUpdater • talk | contribs | esperanza 01:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Any statement summary should also include his stalking tendencies. After a conflict with him recently, he began checking my user contributions and replying to comments I made to other users. Admin Theresa Knott confronted and warned hiom about it when he did it on her page. That sort of behaviour is highly intimidating, even to established users, and has the potential to drive people away from the project. Jeffpw 10:41, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- This was my wikistalking experience; moderately well documented - perhaps something we could shape?

- Wikistalking Is Never Acceptable
-
- At Image:Mikko eloranta.jpg (now deleted; talk page still at Image talk:Mikko eloranta.jpg, Abu badali added a RFU tag, without notifying me, the uploader of the image, that he had done so. A quick check revealed he had visited many of the images I had uploaded, adding this tag, and failed to notify me in every instance. I considered this "sneaky." (And you know I think that kid User:Chowbok is crazy-wrong, but at least he notifies.)
-
- Abu then tracked my contributions to Wikipedia, found an article I had started (completely unrelated to the current fair use policy dispute} and defaced the article with markup so badly that an administrator had to revert the majority of his changes. He also proposed for speedy deletion a separate article I started, for no reason other than Wiki-harassment. This, too, was undone by an admin, after easily verifying the article did not meet the criteria for speedy deletion. These edits by Abu, which have to be reverted by admins, seem to be a violation of WP:EQ, and borders on WP:POINT.
-
- In short, I have felt Wiki-stalked and repeatedly harassed by this editor. I have been a good faith contributor, and I see things much differently than User:Abu badali, especially when it comes to matter of fair use. But User:Abu badali needs to know that chasing other editors across the pages of Wikipedia, while "fun" for him, is no fun at all for the other editor. It's also a violation of WP:Stalk#Wikistalking. I believe Abu badali must stop Wikistalking immediately, and instead, indicate some kind of willingness to work with other editors to develop consensus on these difficult fair use issues.

- Excellent. So far, it seems the statement should include 1) his mass-deletion of images, with examples of times he did not thoroughly check to see if they could be kept or not; 2) His argumentative nature in trying to delete against consensus; 3) his reprisals against users for opposing him (and I should mention I feel he began targeting me solely because I signed on the Rfc against him); and 4) his wikistalking, which both regular editors and admins have challenged him about. Multiple clear examples (with diffs or internal links to pages) should be given for each area of his behaviour we want changed. These are the 4 areas of concern I see; if anyone sees others, please add. But I do think the charges should be clear and succinct, and supported by strong evidence. Jeffpw 11:27, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
