The remark near the end of the article that "Literature or Life" is a poor translation of the original title, L'écriture ou la vie, is almost correct. I'd be very tempted to translate it as "Your Writing or Your Life", since it refers to the book's theme that Semprún was unable to write during the 15 years after Buchenwald: it was a psychological survival mechanism, and it was a lesser loss perhaps than than of the many concentration camp survivors who later committed suicide. 80.228.160.82 21:00, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
