[edit] Robidas incident of March 17, 2007

This section is likely to be a point of contention. A "sucker punch" is unexpected, and surely Robidas did not expect the blow, but the violence was compounded by the circumstance of Robidas' hard skate at Tootoo as he was turning around. "Sucker punch" implies a sneakiness or forethought that could not have been the case in the very short duration of this circumstance.

I've removed it - it's not permanently encyclopedic - even the game writeup barely mentions it - it has one sentence under "Game Notes" on ESPN.com [1]. A double-minor for roughing is not worthy of space on Wikipedia. Yankees76 04:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ethnicity

It's well know that Tootoo is of Inuit background, but someone at the page Ukrainian Canadian claimed his mother was of Ukrainian background. Can anyone comment on this? Kevlar67 10:09, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I doubt it, but it might be true. Tootoo's family is heavily in politics, and lots of Inuit have mixed background. He's Hunter Tootoo cousin and George Hickes' nephew. His family looks pretty Inuit to me, although a photo is no proof. --Diderot 13:17, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, actually on further research, there are certainly enough websites saying that his mother is Ukrainian, including a NY Times article. Heh - who knew? --Diderot 13:24, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
I am fairly sure that his mother is Ukrainian. I know of a Ukrainian organization that was trying to get him as a speaker back in 2004 because of this. -- JamesTeterenko 16:43, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I knew the family personally, and yes, his mother is definately of Ukrainian descent. Good Ninja

[edit] Above section

Having read through the above I felt that there was nothing to be gained by prolonging this and so I tagged it with archive tags twice. However, Burgz33 reverted it both times with no explanation. I feel that due to the ongoing personal opinions and attacks on other editors, along with no valid discussion on the article, that the above section has come to a close. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 07:43, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

There was no reason to tag it, you were wrong, just let it be. If you think the phrase "He's a hero to his people" is racist, you are truly ignorant. Go ahead, tag whatever you wish. But just know you are pretty much wrong in every argument you make... 07:59, 22 March 2007 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Burgz33 (talkcontribs).

I've re-achived it. There was no reason for the tags to be removed. Also note the section is subject to deletion as it violates WP:LIVING and contains personal attacks directed at specific editors. Yankees76 16:52, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
