Jorge Lankenau

Jorge Lankenau Rocha is a Mexican banker and the former head of Abaco Grupo Financiero and its bank unit, Banca Confia, in Mexico City who in 1997 was accused of massive fraud.

A flamboyant Mexican financier from Monterrey, Lankenau spent eight years in jail after a judge issued an arrest order in 1997. He was imprisoned in the Penal del Topo Chico (The Topo Chico jail) on November 17, 1997 and was released on December 25, 2005.
