Jorge Valente Gurgel (born January 25, 1977) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner and a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter with a record of 12-2-0. He was born in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Gurgel starred in the second season of The Ultimate Fighter television series and was eliminated from the show in the fifth episode due to a loss to Jason Von Flue by unanimous decision. Gurgel is a black belt in BJJ who trains with Rich Franklin. He currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
