Jordana Mendelson is an author and Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her scholarship is centered on the impact of images in the Spanish print media from 1929-1939. Her most recent book is Documenting Spain: Artists, Exhibition Culture, and the Modern Nation 1929-1939 (Refiguring Moderninsm) and was published in 2005. She currently serves as president of the American Society for Hispanic Art Historical Studies (2004-2006).[1]
