== Since her 1998 film debut in Jay Craven's A Stranger in the Kingdom, Jordan Bayne has left a powerful and lasting impression in her movies, bringing a unique and versatile presence to very different roles. Her performance in Craven's film was described by one critic as "...one of the most intriguing, thoroughly original film characters...Jordan Bayne generates a bewitching mixture of undiluted sexuality, hard won self reliance and otherworldliness."
In August 2005 Bayne co-directed her first self-scribed short film, [Argo], with writer/director Michael Knowles. The film starring Jordana Spiro (Must Love Dogs) and Marcus Chait (Million Dollar Baby) is about two souls who collide in the desert and impact one another in unexpected ways.
In December 2004 audiences in Los Angeles were thrilled by her portrayal of Bonnie Parker in “Bonnie and Clyde” at the Ivar Theatre.
In June 2002 Bayne finished filming Mercy of the Sea with Martin Sheen. She first worked with Sheen in A Stranger In the Kingdom. She most recently starred opposite Jeff Stearns, for director Terry Winkless in Fire Over Afghanistan an action thriller about a war correspondent who is searching for meaning in war, and finds it through her own humanity, helping to heal the wounds of a ruined man.
Bayne has starred in, among other films, Understanding Your Chances of Success, Waldo Walker, and Showtime's Poltergeist-The Legacy. She was last seen in theaters starring with Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos) and Jonathan LaPaglia (The District) in Michael Sergio's critically acclaimed Under Hellgate Bridge.
Before working in film, Bayne performed in the theatre. Her first play landed her on stage with Marisa Tomei and James Gandolfini in the prestigious Naked Angels production of "Summerwinds".
With a growing reputation as one of the most talented, up-and-coming young actresses, she has been compared to Meryl Streep and referred to as a "female James Dean."
When not being a maverick on film, she's being one in life, whether she is cultivating her knowledge of wine, driving her Scout II or practicing Tae Kwon Do.
She is currently writing and developing her next project, The Language of Desire.
