Jordan Anderson (?, 1999 - February 25, 2000) was a seven month old baby, murdered by his mother's partner while she slept in the next room. The murder took place in Ashmont, a suburb of the regional city of Wagga Wagga, Australia.
Jordan's mother, Louise Anderson, was drunk and had been smoking marijuana at the time of the murder. Police facts tendered during trial revealed that baby Jordan had his toes crushed one by one. He was hit in the face so hard that his bottom teeth went through the roof of his mouth and was repeatedly punched in the stomach. According to police, the torture ended when Jordan choked to death on his own vomit.
Christopher Hoerler, Louiseās partner of three months, surprised the court by changing his plea of not guilty, to manslaughter, midway through the trial. Hoerler was sentenced to a minimum term of eight years and three months.
