This doesn't look like the actual totem in the photo. The font is entirely wrong. Fredrik Johansson 13:39, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copy of 2006 November 16 WP:PUI listing
- Image:Jordanhill-station-sign.png. There is a source, and a license (GFDL), but I don't see how they're connected. Nothing on the original site indicates that the images are available under the GFDL, and the image page doesn't mention separate permission. Superm401 - Talk 23:58, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't understand why this image has been listed. It was clearly generated on a computer by the originator, as claimed, and properly released under the GFDL. The "sausage" type station totem was produced by British Railways in the 1950s and 60s, with different colours for the railway's different regions - Scotland being light blue. This image is clearly illustrative of the type of totem which was once in use at this station, but is not an exact reproduction, as the typeface is clearly different from the photograph of an actual sign which is linked from the page. All is fine now that the image has been retagged as a copyrighted logo used under fair use. ×Meegs 17:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sigh. I've only just found out what happened after the listing. I wish some of the people who inhabit WS:PUI and other such places knew what they judging. This image is clearly not a logo - as previously explained it is an illustration of the type of sign used 40-50 years ago generated by the originator, using a non-standard font, and IMHO the GFDL is clearly the appropriate tag for it. -- Arwel (talk) 23:40, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
