Jon. Hallett is a systems administrator in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the British Computer Society.

Previously he was a research student at the University of Southampton. His interests were program structure and program design methods. He is a particular fan of Jackson Structured Programming, which he still uses, usually for Perl scripts.
