Which Trinity College? Trinity College, Dublin? —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 17:00, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Uuuuuh, yeah. That one. Sorry. To me, on this side of the ocean, they all look alike. :-) Geogre 21:16, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Me too; I just had the misfortune of noticing Trinity College was a disambiguation page with about a million Schools, including a thousand in England and Ireland. Assuming he didn't leave Ireland for school, it's the Dublin one, I guess - but I couldn't be sure. Does DNB specify? —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:19, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- It does. It was the one in Dublin. I just got confused and forgot that Trinity College Dublin, which is the most famous one, wasn't famous enough to prevent Trinity College Cambridge from being almost the most famous one. (Duke U. used to be called Trinity College before Mr. Duke bought it.) Geogre 22:06, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

To the IP editor who added an eulogy to the valiant efforts of Smedley: Wikipedia requires a neutral point of view. It is not our job to praise or condemn the person. The facts of his life paint a poor picture of his integrity, and major literary figures satirized him. However, yes, he did stand up for his beliefs. He just did so in a way that many found obnoxious, and he appeared to be corrupt. Geogre 01:24, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
