[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Jonny Quest: is apparently now 12 and considered part of " Team Quest" although, not a full member. He seems very distant from his father, "Dr. Quest" despite the fact that, Jonny seems to be with him more because of all the missions he goes on with his father. Pop culture also influence the changes made to johnny's character. Example: the original classic Jonny quest series, Johnny was studying judo. 1992 however was the year of a power ranger, so to keep up with this, the writers changed Johnny's martial art of choice to karate, hence the flying dragon kick.

Jesse Canyon: Is a mysterious girl that Johnny and Haji help escape from some thugs who are apparently after her mask which turns out to be 100% synthetic gold. Jesse continues to insist that she must find her father and yet, doesn't seem to know anything about him. Her excuse being that she lived in boarding schools most of her life. She seems attracted to Johnny.

Hadji sing: Hadji is quite literally up to his old tricks, magic tricks that is. Other than that, he doesn't seem to really do much else. In the original Jonny quest series, not only did he know Judo but he was more skilled than Johnny.

Dr. Quest: is not the extremely confident man he was in the classic Jonny quest series. After the incident in the Amazon were he loses his wife, Rachel and the will to continue his line of work for Ione. He also seems very uncomfortable talking to his son Johnny, this does not seem to be the case with Haji.

Jade canyon: is apparently races ex wife they were married for one week. Jade has a secret she wants to tell race but never really gets the chance until the end of the film.

Race Banno: is more or less the only character not to suffer massive changes in this movie. He's the same martial arts skilled bodyguard he was before.

Dr. Zin: Dr. Zin has seemingly developed a lot of health problems. He carries around of breathing apparatus of some sort, his skin seems to be in really bad shape. It seems that he has developed a fascination with cloning human being like animals. He considers the Quest's as a mere annoyance. He does not seemed to have any concept as to the illegality or consequences of his experiments.

Rachel Quest: is johnny's mother. She is a world ranked biologist as noted a film. Johnny seems very close to his mother, he seems more than willing to talk to her about things he will not talk with his father about, despite all the time he spends with his father.
