Jonathon Shier was Managing Director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 2000 to 2002. He resigned from this post 2 years into his 5 year contract. His management style led to him being described in the press as a "limousine-driven disaster" and many of his program-cutting policies, his management style and 'revolving door' hirings and firings led to a number of strikes and industrial action by ABC staff.
