Jonathan Summerton

Jonathan Summerton (born April 21, 1988) is an American race car driver from Kissimmee, Florida. He began racing karts at the age of 14 and by the end of the year had began racing Skip Barber Series cars. In 2004 he began racing in Formula BMW USA and won the Formula BMW USA Scholarship to race in the international series the next year where he finished second at Spa-Francorchamps and finished 10th in the championship. In 2006 he competed in Formula Three Euroseries where he won the Hockenheim race and finished 9th in the championship. So far in 2007 he has made starts in the A1 Grand Prix series for A1 Team USA and took second in the feature race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. For the rest of 2007 he is seeking either another season in F3 Euroseries or to make his Champ Car Atlantic Series debut.
