Jonathan Speak is a former Northern Irish footballer. He was a League of Ireland player who, during the peak of his career, played in the red and white of Derry City F.C.. He was the league's top scorer in the 1987-88 season with 24 goals to his name.[1] Speak also helped Derry to a domestic treble in the 1988-89 season.
ASs well as his days at Derry, Speak spent some time playing with the club's local rivals, Finn Harps F.C. and Irish League side, Ballymena United. At Finn Harps, Speak scored 64 goals in 195 league games and is their fifth-highest ever goal-scorer in the league competition. He scored 83 goals in 263 games in all competitions with the club.[2]
Managerial stints at Finn Harps and Omagh Town F.C. did not go well for him, and he was relieved of both positions not long after taking up the respective roles.
