Jonathan Figgis

A Co-Founder and Director of award-winning film production company October Eleven Pictures, Film Director and Producer Jonathan Figgis worked in the animation industry for a couple of years, contributing on award-winning independent animated shorts as well as television series’ for the international market. When October Eleven Pictures was established, Jonathan was responsible for sourcing support from important post-production houses who have offered their services at reduced costs and who have shown great interest and support for their film-making ventures. This support was invaluable to Jonathan and his brother and business partner, Jason.
In 1999, Jonathan and his older brother Jason embarked on their collaborative filmmaking careers working on their first short film, Pallida Mors. But it was the advent of digital technology combined with their childhood dreams of making movies that lead them to set up the company, October Eleven Pictures in February 2001. The Figgis Brothers work very closely together to further enhance the productions which they endeavour to produce. Jonathan is a Producer & Writer and hopes to direct his first project in 2007.
Jonathan has been busy over the past couple of years working as producer or executive producer on a variety of programmes for The Discovery Channel, Sky One, RTE (Ireland) and SVT (Sweden) among others. These shows include the feature length documentary 'The Twilight Hour', 'Uri's Haunted Cities: Venice' with paranormalist Uri Geller and the co-production 'A Maverick In London' featuring Joanna Lumley, Steven Berkoff, Richard E. Grant, Alan Rickman and many more. There has been much success on the festival circuit with official selections at many international festivals, an IFTA award nomination in 2003 and won Best Feature Film for 'A Curious Incident In The Life of Uri Geller' in 2006.
At present, Jonathan is devoting his time to getting October Eleven Picture's first feature film '3Crosses' completed for the fall of 2007 and is in pre-production on two feature films set to be shot in the summer of 2007.
