Jonathan Dolan

Jonathan "Jon" Dolan (March 16, 1967 - ) is a former member of the Missouri State Senate. Dolan resigned his seat in Missouri's 2nd Senate District to take a position as the Executive Director of the Missouri Health Care Association, one of three Missouri trade associations which lobby on behalf of nursing homes.

He was born in White Plains, New York. He moved to Missouri, and graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1988. He also received a Master of Arts degree in security management from Webster University in 1995, and was a student at various United States Army training schools.

He has previously worked as a special agent for the Central Intelligence Agency's Office of Security and as a Major in the U.S. Army in Public Affairs and Military Police Operations.

He is married to Leanne Dolan (nee Winkler), and they have two children, Hannah and Jonathan. He is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Wentzville, Missouri Rotary Club, the St. Charles County Pachyderms, and many local Chambers of Commerce.

He is a member of the Republican Party, was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1996, and served there through 2000. He was first elected to the Missouri State Senate in 2002, resigning in late 2005.

He was the chairman of the Transportation committee, and also served on the following committees:

  • Commerce, Energy and the Environment
  • Financial and Governmental Organizations and Elections.
