Jonas Frögren

Jonas Frögren (born August 28, 1980 in Ludvika, Sweden) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for Färjestads BK.

Frögren was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft in the 8th round as the 206th pick overall. Frögren is known for being a strong solid defensive defenceman. He dosen't score many points but plays good in his on end. He has played a few games with the Swedish national team, but never played in any big tournament.

Frögren came to Färjestad as a junior in the mid-90's and have, expected for a one-year loan to Bofors IK, played his entire professional career with Färjestad. He have played seven seasons with Färjestad and he has an impressive record, he has won two Swedish Championship and he also have four Swedish Championship silver medals. The only year that he haven't played in the final of the playoffs in 98/99 when Färjestad lost in the quarter-finals against rivals Djurgårdens IF.
