Jon Whitney (b. 1972) is a web developer from Amherst, MA who founded and created Brainwashed, an online eclectic music publication. He currently lives in Arlington, MA.

At the age of 4, he bought his first vinyls. By the time he was 13, he had his own radio show on UMass Amherst's radio station, WMUA. He worked at a record store when he was 15, interned for Virgin and Caroline and worked for Capitol and Sony and in NY and Boston while in his late teens/early twenties. He founded Brainwashed in 1996. He has been creating (inerviewing/taping/editing) short mini-documentaries of bands for The Eye since 2003.

He has been DJing at Boston College's radio station, WZBC, since 1995.

The Sound Your Eyes Can Follow is a music video night he DJ/VJs regularly at bars and clubs in and around the Boston area and irregularly in various other places.
