Jon Sciambi

Jon "Boog" Sciambi is an American sportscaster for ESPN and Atlanta Braves baseball on SportSouth and FSN South. He has worked extensively as a baseball play-by-play announcer.

He will work his first season with the Atlanta Braves in 2007 on SportSouth and FSN South. He will be paired with Joe Simpson and work all 80 games on the two networks.[1]

He spent 2005 and 2006 calling baseball with ESPN. Previous to that he was an announcer with the Florida Marlins from 1997 to 2004, as well as a local radio regular in the Miami, Florida area.

  • Sciambi's nickname "Boog" comes from his physical resemblance to former major league player Boog Powell.
