Jon Paulien

Jonathan K. Paulien is a Seventh-day Adventist theologian specializing in the study of Johannine literature (John and Revelation). He is Professor of New Testament Interpretation at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University; and on January 1, 2007 he became dean of the Faculty of Religion at Loma Linda University.
He has a BA from Atlantic Union College, and an MDiv and PhD from Andrews University.
He has written about the importance of Christianity in the Western world being relevant to the largely secular Western society. He has written about postmodernism, suggesting it does has some positive aspects from a Christian point of view. He is also involved in dialogue between Christianity and Islam.
He and his wife Pamella have three children.
