The Australian Joint Offshore Protection Command (JOPC) is a multi-agency command which was established in 2005 to coordinate the protection of Australia’s offshore assets. While no ships or aircraft are permanently assigned to JOPC, ADF and Customs assets are assigned to the command for specific operations.
