[edit] Top Gun

Hey mate. I have been working on the Top Gun article for a while now and I must say the new screenshots you added are really great. The superior quality very much adds a lot to the article. Good stuff. By the way, if you ever have time to get another to add that would be really great. The images there currently are fairly good at representing the events up to where he decides to graduate. If you could get another one of those great images - for example Maverick celebrating with all the other pilots on deck at the end, or him and Charlie at the end, it would really complete the section. But yeah, great stuff with the ones you put in. Forever young 15:01, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Boat Race

Hi. I found this page through the Randon Article tool. I note that you made some minor edits just now after my own. May I ask you, as someone who clearly knows a thing or two more about the race than me, to clarify this item under Trivia: "At Putney Oxford boats from Westminster School Boat Club, and Cambridge from King's College School Boat Club." I placed it there from somewhere earler in the article because I just could not make sense of it. I am sure it has meaning. Perhaps it does to you. Thanks, Verne Equinox 21:02, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I have never

Cheers for copy editing the article - it's an improvment on my intial slightly incoherrent version.

[edit] Bodybuilding supplements

There is a debate currently taking place re the article on Bodybuilding supplements would be interested in your feedback. Glen Stollery 16:29, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sport rowing and Racing shell

I'm quite new to wikipedia and you appear to be interested in maintaining the rowing articles. I noticed that the article on rowing shells has considerably less information thant the section in the main sport rowing article. Do you think it's worth moving the information from the main article to the rowing shell article and trying to expand it a bit, or perhaps take any information in the rowing shell article not already in the main article and put it in, then make the former a redirect. Or is there a reason they should be seperate? The Sculler 19:03, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] question

hello, I watched "Pranksta Rap" and Kirk Van Houten is wearing an eye patch, did he lost his eye?

[edit] Why do we have so few engineers as Wikipedians?

I am trying to understand why there are so few Wikipedians who are graduate engineers. Once I get a grasp on that, perhaps I may be able to formulate some ideas on how to attract more experienced engineers to become Wikipedians. It would be very helpful if you would respond to these a few questions:

  • Are you a university graduate engineer?
  • Please indicate in which of these engineering disciplines you obtained your degree:
    1. Aeronautical or aerospace engineering
    2. Bioengineer or biological engineering
    3. Chemical engineering
    4. Civil engineering
    5. Electrical engineering
    6. Environmental engineering
    7. Mechanical engineering
    8. Petroleum engineering
    9. Other
  • In what year did you obtain your degree?
  • What attracted you to participate in Wikipedia?

Please respond on my User talk:mbeychok page. Or you may respond to me via Wikipedia's email which I have enabled on my User:mbeychok page.

If you would rather not respond at all, that's fine also. Regards, - mbeychok 04:28, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Green wing rachel.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Green wing rachel.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rory096 01:22, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Event Management in Pakistan

An article that you have been involved in editing, Event Management in Pakistan, has been proposed for deletion. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Ioannes Pragensis 10:00, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Beetham Tower, Birmingham

Ta for reverting my wikilink removal. I misread the MoS, and realise now that years shouldn't be wikilinked unless there's a good reason, but day/month dates should so that the user's date display preference takes effect. RichF 22:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Professional Engineer

The Professional Engineer article currently emphasizes the licensure of engineers in the US and Canada, but makes a weak attempt to describe the situation in other countries as well. It seems that none of the people contributing have any first hand knowledge about the situation in Europe in general, or the UK in particular. Your input would be welcome. Thanks for uploading Image:Tom Cruise Top Gun sunset.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. [edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:31, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bodybuilding Related Question

I'm having a "debate" with an anon user over on the Biological Value article. Any criticism of the Biological Value method of measuring protein quality is being supressed by this user in this article, while they simultaneously exhbit a strong POV towards BV (you'll understand upon reading). I know you've worked bodybuilding supplement-related articles in the past, so I though you might be able to provide a third-party view of the situation. Any help is appreciated.
