Hi! Thanks for the book recommendation, I found it in the library here and it seems useful. I was actually thinking about making a separate "crusader castles" article instead of writing articles for every little unimportant castle...there probably isn't much to say about some of them. [edit] Islamophobia protection
I won't specifically protect your version. (Admins aren't supposed to protect one version in preference to another.) But I did protect it, and it happened to be your version. It will be unprotected eventually, and you'll probably still have to find a way to work out the differences between RK's versions and yours. Quadell (talk) 14:13, Jul 28, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Question on 'Islamophobia' article
When you claim that 'most Muslims are not Islamist', how do you define 'Islamist'? Do you mean 'a follow of radical anti-Western ideologues such as Sayyid Qutb' (what I would call Islamofascism), or do you mean anyone who supports Shari'a law (my usual definition of Islamist)? GCarty 20:19, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
I mean radical Islamists....the usual term that most people would understand, however inaccurate. I also don't accept the term Islamofascism as it's inaccurate.
[edit] Fascism
We're getting the debate on fascism back up to try to make some changes, so stop on by the talk page if you want to help out. Wally 06:41, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Islamophobia - deletion of references section and "advert"
Hi; John, you deleted the references section which I have reinstated since I felt it lost much information. The aim of a references section such as that is that we have a complete list of the locations of sources used in a document in more or less full biblographic form. This means that, for example, if a reference is moved or deleted, at least anyone who wishes to check up on it can know exactly where it was and who wrote it. Since Wikipedia:verifiability is one of our aims, this is very valuable.
As far as the advert goes, that was the original source given for that quote. I'm quite happy to see the quote and its source deleted, but if the quote is there then a source should be given. You might be able to find a different source which has the same quote, however. I think it was widely publicised. Mozzerati 22:24, 2005 Jan 24 (UTC)
Okay. Sorry for confusion.

[edit] Request for Support
I've filed a complaint against user Jayjg for abuse of Admin powers, and for Anti-Arab and Anti-Islamic bias. This link [[1]] will take you to the Arbitration page. I think that you too have been subject to similar treatment with biased edits and reverts of your contributions to Wikipedia, and I would appreciate any additional evidence you can provide in this case.A.Khalil 04:24, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] John Ball is a bigot
From my reading of your work Mr. Ball, I see that your purpose is not to educate but to attack and project your own views and perspective. Your information and articles about Lebanon is severely biased against Lebanese Christians who have in fact been and continue to be the victims in a very harsh environment. For the benefit of the readers of the Wikipedia, I suggest you stop your contributions on topics related to Lebanon until you do more extensive readings and research.
