Talk:Johnny Lee Clary/Comments

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mr. Clary tells a good story; but that is all it is, a story. A little observation and analysis will reveal much that Mr. Clary does not outright admit. (1) Mr. Clary has a picture posted on his website that he states is from when he was in the military. Yet this period of his life is never mentioned in his stage performances or in his autobiography. When was Mr. Clary in the military? He purports to have been recruited into the KKK while still in high school and to have been an active member of the organization until the time he changed sides (when he was approximately 34 years old). At what point from mid-teens to age 34 did he devote 4 years to military service?; (2) Mr. Clary's website claims he is a non-profit/charitable organization and promises to send receipts for tax purposes for all donations received. However, the IRS website does not list Operation Colorblind, Inc. or Johnny Lee Clary International Ministries as non-profit organizations approved for tax deductible donations; (3) Mr. Clary sells a music CD that contains music and lyrics of two songs of the country genre wherein he does not recognize the original artists nor does he indicate on his CD or website that the music and lyrics were used with permission and according to United States anti-pirating laws; (4) Mr. Clary states he is a former champion in the professional wrestling entertainment field. However, what Mr. Clary does not tell is that he owned that professional wrestling circuit and made himself champion. The only time Mr. Clary did not hold the championship belt while he was owner of the circuit was when he let his close friend, Buddy Landel, 'win' the title.

Mr. Clary claims to be a changed man...a man of GOD. How can someone who deceives people every day consider themself a person of GOD? His life story has holes in it (the military picture), he claims tax-exempt status but the IRS does not recognize him as such, he appears to have pirated music (or failed to give proper credit to the artists), and he fails to tell people he owned the wrestling circuit and assigned himself the championship belt.

I think wikipedia made the proper decision in the beginning to delete his page. It is a shame they were hounded into reversing the decision. Drinkingmelonely 01:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Eric
