Johnny Cage's official stats from MKDA:

6'0", 190 lbs. Stop changing them. Thank you.

You are absolutely correct, but I've removed the notes saying DO NOT CHANGE THIS. I know it's a pain when people stick the wrong information on a Wikipedia article, but there's a friendlier way. =) --L T Dangerous 21:15, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

This man is my hero, mentor and friend.

Is his relation to composer John Cage one of mere coincidence? I guess stranger things have happened, but still.... In any case, I'm removing the dadaism reference from beside the composer Cage's name. Dada was long over by the time Cage was composing.

How can anyone call this crotch kicking pansy his hero??--AeomMai 21:19, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Retcon?

Can I get some proof that John Vogel retconned Cage's MKT and MK4 storylines?

Yes. http://db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/mortal_kombat_plot.txt check the version 3.5 updates.

There is a mistake in the box pointing the fighting styles od Johnny Cage. He does not use Jun Fan. He uses Jeet Kune Do.

[edit] Cage in Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Why Daniel Pesina was replaced by Chris Alexander in Mortal Kombat Trilogy?

Because Pesina was fired from Midway. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.21.144.217 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Ad for BloodStorm

In what page is the ad for BloodStorm in which appears Daniel Pesina dressed as Cage?

[edit] Trivia section

We one hell of a huge trivia section and while I've done my best to merge it with the main article, there is a lot of stuff I can't seem to get into there. Trivia is nice to have but there is just far too much, we should try and remove as much of whats left any way possible. Angel Emfrbl 08:25, 15 September 2006 (UTC) Johhny Cage was the fighter who defeated Goro. The lastest confirmation of this is the rivalery art you that is used in menus for MK:A. Sonya and Kano, Shang Tsung and Liu Kang, Cage and Goro!

[edit] Cage copyright

Cage was the lone character in the original MK who did not have a past history with any of the other characters. Though not determined, his lack of storyline may likely have played a part in his omission from several MK side projects.

I thought there was instead a dispute over the original actor claiming a copyright to the likeness of Johnny Cage... I don't have any sources to it, but I thought it was common knowledge (which could have very well been a fan rumor) and was surprised to not see it in the article.

Most likely a rumor. They fired the original actor after MKII. If he did have a copyright, Johnny Cage would not have appeared in any game after that. Besides, that wouldn't have anything to do with the character not having any previous contact with any of the other fighters before the first game. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 05:33, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I'd say it's a reasonably tenuous claim anyway- Liu Kang doesn't technically have any history with the other characters during MK1. OK, Goro murdered his ancestor 500 years ago and Shang Tsung was responsible, but is that a strong enough link to call it history? Bear in mind, as seen in the Vogel MK1 comic, Liu Kang had only heard stories of Shang Tsung's treachery- he'd never encountered the sorceror or, even less likely, Goro. --L T Dangerous 11:30, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MKA menu

Just want to pick up on this:

In MK: Armageddon Johnny Cage and Goro are shown in one of the main menu screen, portraying them as rivals. But whether all the other images have the evil guy in the foreground and the good guy in the background with full-body, Johnny Cage and Goro are oddly enough shown switched in place.

I'll give it a little rewording to make it less clunky once I've added this message, but I felt I should point out the fact Scorpion is a neutral character, so the menu screens aren't as simple as good guy/bad guy. I would, however, say it may be worth mentioning it seems to be the only menu screen influenced by the movie- Mileena/Kitana, Sub-Zero/Scorpion, Kano/Sonya and Sindel/Shao Kahn are all rivalries and hatreds that stem from the games' storyline- Johnny Cage never defeated Goro in the games and it's unlikely they've had much- if, indeed, any- interaction since MK1. --L T Dangerous 11:30, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Ahh, what the hell. I decided to be bold and edit the line in anyway. It's not about to do any harm. --L T Dangerous 11:36, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
