  • Oppose John Schank would be sufficient, and is the spelling prefered by the Oxford DNB. Google results are probably explained by O'Brian's choice of spelling. Septentrionalis 03:08, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Rename to either John Schank or John Schanck to remove title and dates (per WP:MoS). David Kernow 11:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Oppose Mount Schank, Australia is named after him and his 1820 portrait by Sir William Beechey is labelled Admiral John Schank. Also there are a couple Captains of the American Revolution that use the spelling SchanckJavadane 21:57, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
