[edit] Photo

On the JP's official website, this foto is said to be from G3 tour, so isn't it rather from 2001 or 2005 ? I deleted the image at the request of the copyright holder, who says he never released it under the GFDL. Please do not claim licenses to images for which we have none. --Ryan Delaney talk 14:56, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Impressive :P

"John is happily married to his wife"

Wow, I couldn't imagine such a thing! :PPP nihil 19:22, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

if u see his earlier concerts, he has a more flashy stage presence.. the kind a guitarist normally has.. he would move more around the stage.. njoy his music.. for example the concert at marquee with kevin moore in the band... the band displayed a chemistry on stage! though in the past few years it seems 2 have subsided.. even though they may have a chemistry among themselves, they dont seem 2 show it on stage now. But no doubt, they probably play the best stuff ever.. achieved another level in music!

Well... since DT music gets faster and faster over time, Petrucci likes to rest his left feet on a block in order to keep the guitar steady while playing the thougher parts. You just can't expect him to play like he does while running and jumping on stage. That's Labrie's job ! :) --Zoury 20:27, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I always wondered why he's so stiff in the latest concerts. --iggyzizzle 20:34, 23 December 2006

[edit] Flamenco

I can't seem to recall his playing flamenco style, he may have done it but I think it's too much to say it in the very introduction...

[edit] Correction and Assistance?

The last Dream Theather CD with Derek Sherinian was Once In A LIVEtime...and...I'm looking for the template used at the bottom of the page for Dream Theater if you can help for other artists - very nice page, well done! Tvccs 18:13, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lost Without You

Does somebody know if "Lost Without You" is just a John Petrucci song, or a Dream Theater song also? --Λeternus 19:44, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

It's on his solo album Suspended Animation, so it's his. --Dayn 03:11, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but i have a Dream Theater version of the song also, where keyboards are used (in Suspended Animation there are no keyboards used). So, who released it first? From the sound (quality) of the song, it seems that Dream Theater's version is an older one. So, what do you think? --Λeternus 18:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Dream Theater version? On CD, or from filesharing? Can't see it from any of Dream Theater's discography, so perhaps they played a live version of it...--Dayn 00:12, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Maybe, but the sound of the audience isn't noticed... --Λeternus 16:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
It's not a Dream Theater song, Petrucci played this song with Jordan Rudess on their "An evening with Jordan Rudess and John Petrucci", and I think it might have also been played with Liquid Tension Experiment but I'm not 100% sure on that one. --Ar73m 13:11, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Awesome, that would explain it! Although the tracklisting doesn't have it. Nah, it wouldn't be Liquid Tension Experiment, they broke up six years before Petrucci's Suspended Animation. --Dayn 13:28, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fake Death of John Petrucci

This was only a rumor spread on a forum. Yes, I almost had a heart attack, too. Here is the link to the hoax. http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53504 and now to the generator http://insert.name.here.swellserver....ies/auto80.php . Fake. --iggyzizzle 00:38, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Oh god, don't do that! You're gonna spread a heart attack epidemic! At least say it's fake first... *hyperventilates* --Dayn 07:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Fixed. --iggyzizzle 20:29, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Lol, that's good. I keep getting a twinge of fear when I read this. --Dayn 04:22, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Haha. I know what you mean. I just saw on Yahoo! Answers someone asking if John Petrucci was dead a couple minutes ago. I guess I'm not the only one. --iggyzizzle 20:40, 24 December 2006

[edit] Hair

From Dream Theater's new promo foto (Image:DT2007.jpg), it looks like Petrucci has grown his hair. Another fact can be tracked from G3's new poster, where John is clearly seen with long hair. Can somebody confirm this? Oh my God, is this another Metropolis part 2 era? --ΛэтєяиuS 21:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Confirmed. --ΛэтєяиuS 11:17, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
