Talk:John McDonnell (politician)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is suffused with emotive words in the 'Leadership' section, making it sound like a campaign profile and not a balanced Wikipedia entry. I'm going to try to 'tone it down' a bit.
[edit] Avoid Edit Warring
I advise both of you to cease edit warring on this page and discuss the changes on the talk page before you decide to add anything, to prevent any unneeded work for the administrators which could lead to blocks or bans for the both of you -- febtalk 22:24, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, please use references. The last good edit i can see in the history was made by User:Weggie[1]. He is correct. Any unreferenced material will probably be removed.Gab.popp 10:40, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

It is not clear what is meant when the article says that "McDonnell has claimed that he is aware of mistakes made by previous Labour oppositions during the 1970s and 1980s. He has vowed that an Opposition led by him would make no such mistakes." Does this mean that McDonnell expects to be party leader only when the party is in opposition? And what exactly are the mistakes as McDonnell views them? -- james.
