Regarding John Gilliland's dates of birth death, the two main sources differ by 3 days on each. http://www.laradio.com/whereg.htm says October 18, 1935 - July 24, 1998. http://www.library.unt.edu/MUSIC/gilliland/biography.html says October 15, 1935 - July 27, 1998. I used the second set in the main article since it is a university site that looks as if it had some contact with JG's estate. If someone knows, please correct it (or confirm it here).
