This is an advertisement. Ortolan88

It states that the chap in question has a business, and states some facts about it, but it seems fairly neutral (although it could be made more so), and doesn't make any claims about the quality of the company's work, so I wouldn't call it an advertisement myself. -- Oliver PEREIRA 04:52 Jan 21, 2003 (UTC)

I wouldn't call it an encyclopedia article. Ortolan88 PS-hahahahh asdfyjdsgfyusdfbsdf'fg The virtual model in the press release is pretty cool, particularly if its the only one.

In documentary film, one of the questions filmmmakers have to watch out for is "so what?" Perhaps some external review of this man's work would help answer that here. Koyaanis Qatsi

Letters from parents and others complaining about John Casablancas Modeling School from the Modeling Frauds web site.

Also from that site:

Aspiring models have been confused in the past, assuming a school was an agency. Even though the school may not call itself an agency, those who are unfamiliar with the modeling industry have made the mistake of assuming some modeling schools were modeling agencies.
This has happened, for example, with John Casablancas modeling schools. John Casablancas used to be the leader of an agency (Elite), and thus aspiring models associated his past with the present situation. John Casablancas Career Centers, however, are not modeling agencies, and Mr. Casablancas is no longer at Elite. He reportedly left the Elite agency in 2000.

The following information on modeling schools, searches, and conventions is the opinion of MODELNEWS.COM.
Names like Barbizon, John Robert Powers and John Casablancas dot the landscape with locations in almost every major city. Most people don't realize these schools are franchised like McDonalds. They are in business for one reason-to make money.

Whether you believe everything on these web pages or not, the article is an advertisement and doesn't belong here. If we had a real article about Casablancas, it would say he was a legitimate model, once associated with the Elite Agency, who branched out into mass marketing of "modeling schools" very difficult to tell from scams. I made some minor changes to correct erroneous information. I'm not at war with this guy, but this is quality control for the Wikipedia. Why shouldn't one of those links above be in the article itself?Ortolan88

This is not an encyclopaedic article. It should be removed. Mintguy

I'm pretty sure that Casablancas is back with Elite. He recently bashed Gisele and talked about how he would never work with Naomi Campbell again. I mostly know of him through his son's fame, though, so don't trust me on this.-N410
