Johny Hendricks

Johny Hendricks (born September 12, 1983) is an American amateur wrestler. Competing for Oklahoma State University, Hendricks won the 2005 and 2006 165-pound NCAA Division I wrestling title. Hendricks, a redshirt junior at OSU, is a 3-time All-American and 2005 and 2006 Big 12 Conference champion. In high school, Hendricks won three state titles and the 160-pound high school national championship.
Johny Hendricks caused controversy by marching around the gym with a Cowboys flag after defeating Ryan Churella for the 2006 NCAA Title. In 2007 NCAA Title match he lost to Mark Perry, whom Hendricks had beaten the other 6 times they met. Upon losing the match, the crowd exploded in applause and ESPN announcers noted that there were "13,000 fans here routing for Henricks to lose."
