John van den Brom

John van den Brom (Amersfoort 4 October 1966) is a former professional footballer and a current football coach.

Van den Brom started his career at the amateurs of APWC in Amersfoort before signing as a professional footballer with Vitesse Arnhem making his debut against FC Eindhoven.

After seven seasons for Vitesse Arnhem playing 225 games and scoring 80 goals he made the move to Ajax Amsterdam he played there for two seasons before moving abroad with Turkish side Istanbulspor.

He returned to Vitesse Arnhem after one season and spent another five seasons there before signing for De Graafschap for his last season before retiring from playing in 2002/03.

Also Van den Brom made two appearances for the Dutch national team in a 8-0 win against Malta and a 6-0 win against San Marino scoring once.

After his playing career he became head scout of De Graafschap and the head coach of amateur side Bennekom before becoming coach of the second team at Ajax Amsterdam on 29 April 2004.
