John "Eck" Rose is a Kentucky politician, who has served in the Kentucky State Senate for the 28th District of Kentucky. He was the last President Pro Tempore of the Kentucky Senate when the office held power over chambers, and in 1993 became the first President of the Kentucky Senate, a job he held until 1997.
