John Wilson (angler)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John Wilson is a British angler. He is from London but now lives in Norfolk where he fishes on his local River Wensum.

John has been a keen angler from an early age and loves to fish alone and with son Lee and Nephew Marthin Bowler. He has also fished with friend and Who Wants To be a Millionaire host Chris Tarrant. John has been filming angling programs for over 20 years and also writes a column for the Sunday Express Newspaper. Some of his most memerable adventures include fishing on the River Nile, Zambezi, Fraser River System and River Ebro where he has caught many different types of fish from Sturgeon to Shark.

John recently filmed a new TV series which was aired in Autumn 2006 on Discovery Real Time TV called Dream Fishing. It featured daughter Lisa Wilson and nephew Martin Bolwer. There was some real 'dream' fishing in New York state, Norway, Scotland and Wales. It was lovely.
