John W. Morgan

John W. Morgan, BSc, LLB, MBA (born May 7, 1964), is a Canadian Lawyer, politician and businessman. He is the current mayor of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Since being first elected in October 2000, Morgan has he paid down the municipal debt and focused on road construction. In 2004, he won a large majority (80%) in his bid for re-election.[citation needed] Morgan recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of CBRM against the Government of Nova Scotia alleging unequal per capita provincial funding for his municipality.
Morgan has a tested IQ of 176.
Morgan has indicated that he is supportive of the Province of Cape Breton political movement.
