[edit] Football team
The Hoggard Football team, the Vikings, have just won their 5th straight conference championship, led by Coach Scott Braswell (head coach and offensive line coach), Keith Wood (wide receivers and kickers), and Coach Supak (running-backs) on offense, along with Coaches Brown, Turner, and Underwood holding down the defense. In the 2006 season, the Vikings went the furthest they had ever gone in the NCHSAA playoffs, getting to the Eastern finals in the fourth round, where they played against Greenville Rose High School. The Vikings lost by two points, 31-29.
