Sir John Calvert Stronge, 4th Baronet DL, JP (21 February 181320 December 1899) was born, and baptised, at his grandfather's home, Hertfordshire, England; as opposed to his family's seat at Tynan Abbey.

Stronge was a barrister who served as JP for County Armagh and County Tyroneas well as Deputy Lieutenant of County Armagh. In 1888, he was also responsible for the grounds of Tynan Abbey being made open to the public.[1]

He succeeded his brother James Stronge as Baronet of Tynan at the age of 71 years. He married Lady Margaret Zoe Caulfield, the only sister of James Molyneux, 3rd Earl of Charlemont on 14 September 1848 and had issue:
