John Stanhope

John Stanhope (5 January 1704 – 4 December 1748), British politician, was the third son of Philip Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Chesterfield and Elizabeth Saville.
He succeeded his younger brother, Charles Stanhope, as Member of Parliament for Derby in 1736. He was appointed a Lord of the Admiralty in February 1748, but died in December of that year.
