John William Standeford (born April 15, 1982 in Monrovia, Indiana) is an American football wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL.
John Standeford started his football career at Monrovia High School in Monrovia, Indiana. John also was an Indiana All-Star in basketball. After high school, he attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he left as the Big Ten all-time career receptions leader, playing along with current New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees. He majored in Elementary Education and did his student teaching at Attica High School in Attica, Indiana. Currently, as of the 2006 season, he is a member of the practice squad for the Indianapolis Colts. Although, he did participate in all the pre-season games.
