John Milo Slick (born September 28, 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) was a Christian rock musician for the legendary Christian rock band Petra. Slick is currently retired from music and works in the computer industry.

Slick received seven years of classical piano training. He studied at Indiana University and Belmont College receiving a B.A. in Music.

In 1981 he joined Petra for their album Never Say Die. He recorded three albums with the band before leaving in 1983. He also dedicated to composing for musicals, songbooks, and other recording projects.

In 1988 he quit music to dedicate to a career in computers. He did graduate studies in computer science at Harvard University and worked in the M.I.T. engineering community in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He now lives in Old Hickory Lake, Hendersonville, Tennessee.

  • Slick married Judy Oxford in December 18, 1982. He has a son called Marlon.
