John Schmeiser is the Executive Vice President and CEO of the Canada West Equipment Dealers Association based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. The Canada West Equipment Dealers Association (CWEDA) represents 400 farm, industrial and outdoor power equipment dealers in western Canada. CWEDA is the largest of three equipment dealer associations in Canada and are part of 18 such affiliates that make up the North American Equipment Dealers Association.

Schmeiser has served as the CEO of the organization since 1996. Prior to joining CWEDA, Schmeiser was a communications consultant at the Reform Party of Canada's National Office. He also served in various provincial governmental and political roles within the province of Saskatchewan.

In addition to his duties with CWEDA, from 1999 to 2005 Schmeiser was a founding Director and Chairman of the Board for IRON Solutions LLC; a Fenton, MO based technology company that provides trade guide information and software products for the equipment community. He also has been the Treasurer for the Canada Equipment Dealers Foundation, a registered charity since 1998 and served on the Board of Directors of EDCO Canada.
