John Sanctuary Nicholson

Brigadier-General John Sanctuary Nicholson (19 May 1863 – 21 February 1924), CB, CMG, CBE, DSO was a British Conservative politician and soldier.
He was Commandant-General of the Police Forces and Inspector-General of Volunteers in Rhodesia from 1898 until 1903. In 1921, he was elected Member of Parliament for Westminster Abbey at a by-election. He was returned again in the 1922 election, but died two years later.
