John Robinson (born August 29, 1971) was a Welsh International footballer.
He was born in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia and raised in England from 1976, by his Glasgow-born father and Southern Rhodesian mother.
As a tricky winger, he played professional football for Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City and Gillingham. He won Under-21 and full international caps for Wales. Winner of Welsh player of the year, he was committed and a fans favourite. Robinson possessed honesty, determination and grit coupled with a good level of skill.
