John Rennie (son)

Sir John Rennie (b. August 30, 1794 in England – d. September 3, 1874) was a son of engineer John Rennie and brother of George Rennie.

Although he was the younger of John Rennie's sons, he was chosen to carry out his father's design for London Bridge between 1824 and 1831. He and his brother George were involved in the construction of George Stephenson's Liverpool and Manchester Railway in 1830.

He became President of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1845.
