John Rennie (editor)

John Rennie became the seventh editor in chief of Scientific American magazine in late 1994, having been a member of the Board of Editors since 1989.

Rennie has written and edited articles on biology, technology and medicine and helped SciAm produce award-winning single-topic issues. for a variety of publications.

He holds a Yale B.S. degree in biology and has done improv in New York and his hometown of Boston.
