John Phillip Law (born September 7, 1937) is an American film actor.
Law was born in Hollywood, California to Phyllis Sallee, an actress. He has a younger brother, Thomas Agustus Law.
Law is known for his role as the blind angel Pygar in the science fiction classic Barbarella (1968). With his tall body (6 feet 5) and his steel blue eyes, Law became a sex symbol in the 1960s. He was an important guest on Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion and also a society person. Law never became a real superstar but he was very popular as an action hero in over and more than 100 Italian B-movies. Most of them were westerns, science fiction, action, and war movies. Some of this films achieved a cult reputation with such classics as Diabolik, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Death Rides a Horse, and Attack Force Z. In 2001 he appeared in Roman Coppola's directorial debut CQ, an homage to the Italian spy/sci-fi B-movies that Law often starred in in the 1960s.
Law has appeared in two films that were later featured on the comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000: Diabolik and Space Mutiny.
He also appeared in the film "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming"
